Well, I hope you had a great Christmas morning. Just kidding but also, I’m not. What was supposed to be the beginning of Spring break weekend for many turned into a winter wonderland of a morning.

If you slept through El Paso’s March snowstorm this morning then you may not know what I’m talking about but don't worry I’m here to explain.

Let's Talk Weather:

A strong cold front pushed through the borderland early Friday morning bringing winds, colder air, light showers AND SNOW FLURRIES! Yea, snow flurries in March!

Pretty much everyone across town saw a good amount of flurries and some of those snow flurries even stuck to the ground turning building roofs, cars, and tree branches into a wintery sight for all to enjoy.

However, in true El Paso weather fashion, the white snow didn’t last long. Within hours the clouds moved out of our area and brought the sunshine back and melted all the snow, turning the roads wet.

Although there is no more snow in the forecast, the cold temperatures are expected to stick around. Below freezing temperatures are expected overnight Friday which will make for a cold start to your Saturday morning. But don’t worry, warmer Spring-like weather is expected in our forecast for the start of next week.

I'm hoping Mother Nature keeps checking her memos so she won't surprise us with another Winter storm in the middle of Spring!
