Alright El Paso, are you ready to experience two seasons in a matter of hours?! Well, ready or not here it comes!

The Weather Gods, A.K.A Doppler Dave (yea I’m biased a little, so what?!) is predicting a strong cold front pushing through Wednesday night and this front will bring a lot more than winds and cooler air. Snow is coming along too.

Now, although we’re already in March, seeing snow during this month isn’t really a rare thing.

Just last year parts of the borderland saw some snow flurries in early March, March 11th to be exact and tomorrow may be a repeat of that.

Wednesday Forecast:

For Wednesday we can expect the winds to start picking up by the afternoon hours.

Wind gusts of up to 40 mph are expected after 1 p.m. Wednesday with the possibility of patchy blowing dust.

Wednesday’s afternoon highs will make you feel like Spring has sprung with highs reaching the lower 70s and mostly sunny skies.

Enjoy those warm temperatures on Wednesday because come Thursday, Winter will be back in full force.

Thursday Forecast:

A wind advisory will be in place Thursday as winds are expected to stick around throughout Thursday with gusts of up to 40 mph expected.

Wednesday night into Thursday will probably see most of the action as the front is expected to push through overnight bringing a chance for rain AND snow. *Gasps in Spanish*

While we *could* see some snowfall accumulation, the National Weather Service of El Paso is saying we won’t see too much snow, but the little snow we do see may cause a few slick spots on the road during your morning commute so if you plan on heading out early, plan on heading out even EARLIER to allow yourself time to drive with caution.

We can expect things to clear out by the afternoon but expect afternoon highs to only reach the upper 40s!

Yup, winter coats will definitely be needed especially when you factor in the wind gusts that will make the outdoor temperature a lot colder than what it really is.

Now, as for whether or not school’s will have a delayed start or be canceled for tomorrow, your guess is as good as mine! For now, just prepare to bundle up your little one’s for school.
