On the day of Coach Adams 300th victory celebration, her Miners gave her number 301 in a 67-38 beat down of the University of Central Florida and moved to 8-0 in C-USA and 19-2 overall.

Jumping out to a 7-0 run to start the game, the Miners took a 33-18 lead into halftime and never looked back.

The Miners bench was the difference today as they outscored UCF's bench 36-2. Senior Briana Green was 3-3 from beyond the arc and lead the reserves as well as all scores, with 13 points.

Freshman Jenzel Nash made her second career start and Coach Adams said "I have held the reins long enough, it's time to turn her loose." Nash had 12 points, 4 rebounds 4 assists and a steal. You can see her confidence and comfort levels rise each game. Big things are coming, it is just a matter of time.

It would be a shame if I don't mention that Gloria Brown had six blocks. Brown owned the interior and her effort on the defensive end of the floor was impressive to say the least.

Normally I would complain at this point about foul shooting but not today! The Miners were 7-8 for 87.5%. Well done ladies! Keep it up!

UCF was lead by Erika Jones with 10 points and Aisha Patrick had 10 rebounds.

Next Sunday, February 5th, the Miners travel to Houston to take on the Rice Owls at 10:00am. The game will be televised on FSN (Fox Sports Network). Check your cable or satellite provider the channel.
