It seems that Jerry Jones did the first thing I was hoping he would do, and that is re-sign head coach Jason Garrett.  According to various sources, Garrett has agreed to a new 5-year deal that will keep him in Dallas and it's worth 30 million dollars.

Also, defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli received a three-year deal to remain in his position with the team. Marinelli did a great job with a defense that was supposed to be very bad this year. So re-signing him is huge for the Cowboys.

By making sure that his most important free agent in Garrett will stay in Dallas, Jerry Jones now can move on to making sure that his 2 pro bowl free agents Dez Bryant and Demarco Murray stay in Dallas as well.
