Free Drive Thru Pet Clinic Open To El Paso Pet Owners This Sunday
El Paso pet owners are encouraged to take advantage of the free clinic services this weekend, making it easier for pet owners to keep their family pets healthy and safe.
As part of an ongoing nationwide campaign to vaccinate one million pets this year, El Paso Animal Services is on its way to doing its part, thanks to a generous grant by the Petco Love Foundation.
El Paso Animal Services and Petco Love Foundation are teaming up again to offer free parvo/distemper and FVRCP vaccines and microchips to hundreds of pets via a drive-thru pet wellness clinic.
On Sunday, August 21, pet vaccinations and microchips will be available during a free drive-thru pet clinic at 6 a.m. in Far East El Paso.
According to El Paso Animal Services, nearly 5,000 community pets have been serviced this year via its Drive-Thru Pet Wellness Clinics.
How It Works:
- The free clinic services are on a first-come, first-served basis and limited to the first 500 pets
- This is a drive-thru clinic, and all pets must remain in the vehicle
- Dogs must be on a leash, and cats must be placed in a secure carrier
Services:
- Dogs: Services include a parvo/distemper vaccination and microchip
- Cats: Services include a feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, panleukopenia (FVRCP) vaccination, and microchip.
- Pets must be six weeks old or older to receive vaccines.
- No other pet vaccinations will be available at this drive-thru event.
