We have finally heard from one movie theater in El Paso about when they plan to reopen their doors to the public. Movie theaters in Texas have been allowed to reopen since early May at a 25% capacity, but many opted to remain closed for various reasons. Flix Brewhouse told their customers that they would not be reopening in early May, due to the need for cleaning, sanitizing, and retraining of employees on new COVID-19 security protocols. The company gave an update on May 14th to the moviegoers who wanted to know when they could enjoy a film in the comfort of a theater again. This time, the company explained how they wanted to see when Hollywood would begin releasing movies in theaters again. Once the COVID-19 pandemic hit, many movie companies began releasing their movies that were currently in theaters for in-home viewing. Now, the entertainment industry is beginning to gauge the interest of movie-goers and will begin releasing movies back in theaters which means it's time for movie theaters to come back.

Flix Brewhouse is the first El Paso area movie theater to announce their plans to reopen for business. According to their website, Flix Brewhouse will be reopening before July 17th:

"We've been working hard on a plan to reopen, not just our pubs or beer/food to go, but our entire Flix experience. What we can share is that we intend to open in the few weeks that lead up to the premiere of Christopher Nolan's 'TENET,' currently slated for July 17th."

The company says they will be releasing more details, including the exact date, as the grand re-opening gets closer. This is some great news for movie fans who have been wanting to get butts back into theater seats. Keep up-to-date on Flix Brewhouse news on its website and Facebook.
