If you've ever wondered what it looks like when someone gets tasered while in full run-mode, this clip recorded by an eye witness who happened upon such a scene is the video to watch

Smartphone footage of the dramatic moment a suspect was left “tazed and confused in Canutillo” appears to have taken place in the undeveloped land between the McDonalds - Howdy’s Food Mart combo on South Desert Blvd just off 1-10 by The Outlet Shoppes at El Paso in Canutillo.

In the video, a guy can be seen running away from the scene of the incident with what I presume is a law enforcement officer giving chase. It's hard to say since you can't really tell if he's wearing a uniform and none of the vehicles have visible markings.

Before taking flight -- and I mean that both as a euphemism for fleeing to avoid arrest and the way he went airborne after getting tasered – the guy appears to be widening the gap and sprinting further away.

That’s when the officer can be seen firing the stun gun at him and quickly taking him into custody.

The post provides absolutely no context, so we don’t really know the reason why the man found himself on the painful end of taser prongs, but the guy filming the incident and narrating is heard saying towards the end of the clip, “he just f*ing crashed right now with a f*ing van and everything.”

Note to future crime scene runners: this is why you gotta zig zag, man. Note to FitFam: the slow-motion insert of the guy getting zapped is an outstanding use of the application.

UPDATE: We have since learned the video above is the result of a pursuit that ended in a crash after Troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety tried to pull the runner over for a traffic violation. The pursuit began on Transmountain Road.
