Disney Fans: Encanto The Film Concert Coming To El Paso In July

Disney's worldwide hit, Encanto, has expanded into a traveling film and concert, and the tour is making a stop in El Paso this summer.

Disney's latest smash hit and Oscar winner for the best-animated feature keeps charming children and adults alike thanks to its family bond and a highly infectious soundtrack written by Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, featuring the hit songs "Orguita" and "We Don't Talk About Bruno."

"Bruno" has even outperformed "A Whole New World" from "Aladdin" by Peabo Bryson and Regina Belle, which was the first Disney tune to ever reach No. 1 on the Hot 100 in 1993.

The animated film initially hit theaters in late November, followed by a debut on Disney+ a month later. And then, in March of 2022, the sing-along version debuted via the streaming service.

Disney's Encanto is a beautiful story about family, love, magic, community, and an enchanted house (Casita), with an underlying message of generational trauma, set in a remote village in Colombia.

Fans like myself who have seen the movie over a dozen times (thanks to my niece, who likes to watch it first in English and then in Spanish) won’t want to miss this sing-along film concert heading to El Paso.

Encanto, the animated film, will be screened at the Plaza Theatre while a live band accompanies the key musical moments when the actors in the movie sing.

Plus, everyone who plans on attending is encouraged to dress up as their favorite character for a completely immersive experience.
