The Chapin Huskies dominated the Austin Panthers from the opening kickoff until the final snap winning the game 56-3 at the Sun Bowl.

The Huskies punished the Panthers with their exceptional ground game all night long.  Chapin quarterback Leondre Williams' performance was nothing short of spectacular as he was 5 of 8 for 98 yards, had 6 carries for 103 yards, and scored 4 touchdowns, 2 passing and 2 rushing.  Huskies' running back Tyquez Hampton had 6 carried for 37 yards and scored 2 touchdowns, while Angel Soto gained 136 yards on 17 carries.

The Huskies also had solid performances from wide receivers Brannon Bullitt and Edward Shukitt who both scored a touchdown.  Chapin's defense was  relentless all evening by putting tremendous pressure on Austin quarterback Damian Barraza who finished the game 1 of 2 for 2 yards.  The Panthers were able to establish somewhat of a ground game as Ricky Olivas had 13 carries for 55 yards and Ben Gomez gained 63 yards on 11 carries.

With the victory Chapin improves to 6-3, 5-2 in District 1-5A and is idle next week before finishing the season by hosting El Paso High on November 6.  Austin falls to 2-6 with the loss, 1-5 in District 1-5A.  The Panthers will travel to Canutillo on Halloween.
