A Grammy Nominee Band Wrote a Song That’s All About El Paso
El Paso, Texas has been known to be referenced in songs from time to time. It's nice to hear someone share their love for the Sun City in songs I like to blare in my car with the windows down.
We can be sure to add another song to list thanks to a Grammy nominee band Wood & Wire. Now Wood & Wire's genre is country but their latest single is about a place I call home.
Wood & Wire released their recent song called "My Hometown" which, you guessed it, is about El Paso, Texas.
One band member who is a native El Pasoan Billy Bright gave a brief statement about what this song means to him. You can see what he had to say about this song down below.
The song "My Hometown" is from their upcoming album No Matter Where It Goes From Here that is soon to be released, next week on Friday, August 28.
In the music video above you will recognize some familiar hangs, areas, things, and maybe even the people.
The music video didn't shy away either from showing off our neighbor Ciudad Juarez. I don't know about you but I sure as hell enjoy hearing music that involves my hometown.
Even though Billy Bright wrote this song about 8 years ago I am glad he decided to finally share it with the public. Let's cross our fingers they can be nominated for another Grammy with this song that's about our city, El Paso.
