One of the great things about being a Dallas Cowboys radio affiliate is that the Cowboys radio talent is more apt to talk with you even if it is mere hours from kickoff.

On Tuesday, Troy Aikman was in Brownsville, Tx. at the opening of a new Wingstop Sports.  A reporter from the Brownsville Herald had a quick Q&A with the three time Super Bowl winning quarterback (and Wingstop spokesman.)

Two weeks ago the Dallas Cowboys were in prime position to make a serious run in the 2011 postseason.  They had just come off their 4th consecutive victory, and with the Giants inability to win the Cowboys saw themselves in first place in the NFC East, with a legitimate shot of winning the division.

The Dallas Cowboys are a dissapointment!  I could sugar coat it, but why do that?  Through 5 games they have a record of 2-3 and could easily be 5-0.   Sometimes it is important to tell it like it is in life.  This team has the potential to win the Super Bowl, but potential means nothing if you cannot finish a game.

I'm still playing it over and over in my mind.  How did the Dallas Cowboys let a 27-3 third quarter lead slip away.  The obvious answer is Tony Romo and his three interceptions.  He's been a scapegoat before, and can certainly be one now.

I've been skeptical of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo for years now. On the surface, the guy has everything a franchise quarterback needs to be successful: a strong arm, good leadership skills, and a great supporting cast. Still, Romo always seems to find new ways to lose big football games.

Anyone who listens to Sportstalk on a regular basis knows I have more theories about things than a 70s TV detective.  Over the weekend, I convinced myself during a celebrity golf tournament that Tony Romo will never win a Super Bowl.
