Ever since he was a little kid, Brandon Cohn has been an out going person. Brandon was born in Los Angeles and lived there until he was 8. Cohn briefly moved to El Paso for a couple of years before going to Chicago with his mom and sister in 1989. While residing in Chicago Brandon became interested in sports. He attended numerous Bulls, White Sox, Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks games. In 1991 Brandon moved back to El Paso to live with his father. Once in high school Cohn realized his love for sportscasting. As a sophmore at Coronado High School he started the sportscasting program for CTV. Cohn did numerous stories during his tenure at CHS on a variety of sports. As a junior in high school Cohn was the Co-host of a local sports television program called "The Sports Bag." While in college at UTEP Cohn worked for KTEP, an NPR affiliate. He announced the time, and weather during breaks and co-hosted a radio program called "Classics of Jazz." During his senior year at UTEP, Cohn completed an internship for KROD. Shortly after the internship was completed, Brandon was hired to work over nights for KROD, KLAQ, and KISS. After working over nights for 2 years Cohn was given the Co-Host and producer position for "Crunchtime." Today Brandon is also a permanent fill in for Sportstalk, and a reporter for Football Friday Night.

The Metrodome is a Dump

The Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome was once a first class facility that actually hosted a Super Bowl. Today it is a run down stadium that desperately needs to be replaced.

Junior Seau, Gone Way Too Soon

Junior Seau was the quintessential NFL linebacker, a motivational leader, and loved by many people. Yesterday his life was tragically cut short when he was found dead in his Oceanside, California home with a self-inflicted gun shot wound to his chest, in an apparent suicide.

UT Cancels The Chavez Fight in El Paso – A Bunch of Malarkey

In what was the most disappointing news in El Paso in quite some time, the UT System cancelled the Julio Cesar Chavez vs. Andy Lee fight at the Sun Bowl.

So Much for World Peace

World Peace is something that we all envision happening, but is certainly an unrealistic possibility.  Ron Artest who changed his name to Metta World Peace last year, has always been a clown and has had difficulty staying out of trouble.  The Los Angeles Lakers have been fortunate up until now because World Peace has played solid and been relatively trouble free during his tenure with the team.

Championship Boxing Returns to El Paso in Style

Boxing fans were treated to an entertaining evening of bouts on Saturday at the Don Haskins center that included hometown favorite Antonio Escalante, and 2 main events for Bantamweight championships.

The Clumsy Alabama Fan

Certain things have an intrinsic value to them.  Take Alabama's BCS Championship trophy for instance.  It is worth $30,000, but really has a value to the team that is much greater than that.  Thanks to a players' father, it is gone for good.

Ozzie and His Big Mouth

Marlins' Manager Ozzie Guillen is known for being outspoken.  He hasn't been in south Florida for long at all and is already sparking controversy over his remarks.  This time Guillen is in trouble for praising former Cuban Prime Minister and President Fidel Castro.

The Best Stadium in MLB Without Parking

If you haven't had a chance to see the newest stadium in the majors, I can tell you it is a real gem.  The Miami Marlins officially opened Marlins Park tonight against the defending World Series champion St. Louis Cardinals.

A Genuine Fellow

Dallas Cowboys' starting inside linebacker Sean Lee was quite a hit at the 16th annual Sports and Health Expo at the Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino.  Lee signed autographs for quite a few eager fans who were thrilled to meet the Cowboys' rising star.
