Coronado and Franklin battle every year for west side supremacy.  With all due respect to the up and coming Americas Trailblazers, the east side goes through Montwood and El Dorado.........for now.  Separated by less than four miles, this game has become a neighborhood rivalry.

After a loss in its first district game of the season, Americas took out its anger on winless Coronado Friday night at the SAC. The high powered Americas offense never seemed to stop pumping out points, and the Coronado offense that hasn’t been able to get going remained consistent by not scoring. If these two themes continue, Americas and Coronado will be moving in different directions from one another rapidly.

Americas is looking to compete for a district championship with a veteran offense that has had a great amount of success this season, even in a loss to Franklin High School.
