Former Boxing Champ Hector ‘Macho’ Camacho on Life Support in Puerto Rico

Disturbing news broke yesterday that former boxing champion Hector 'Macho' Camacho had been shot in Puerto Rico.

Doctors originally said he was in critical but stable condition, and they expected him to survive.  His prognosis took a turn for the worse overnight.  According to one doctor treating him, his heart stopped and he had to be revived.

He is now on life support, and doctors are measuring his brain activity.  A friend of Camacho has told the AP that Camacho's mother will decide if he should stay on life support.

If Camacho doesn't survive the weekend, it would be a tragic end to a colorful, yet brief, life.
