If it seems like Jennifer Han has been fighting forever, that's because she has. The El Paso fan favorite made her professional debut more than six years ago after a long and illustrious amateur career, but she has been patiently waiting for a world title shot. After a visa delay forced her IBF featherweight fight to be postponed, Han will finally get her shot next month, when she challenges Helen Joseph for the title at the Don Haskins Center. We caught up with Han at a press conference yesterday announcing the fight and she told us that after all of the delays, she is finally ready to go.

Han last fought in April, when she defeated Fatuma Zarika by unanimous decision. Now, she gets Joseph in less than a month but is physically and mentally ready for the world title fight.

As for the venue on Sept. 19, it will be the Don Haskins Center. Han smiled when asked about the DHC, where she's fought only once in her 19 previous professional bouts. However, El Paso's sweetheart told 600 ESPN El Paso that she would not want to fight anywhere else. Tickets start at $25 and are on sale at the UTEP Ticket Center and all Ticketmaster outlets.
