Today, I referenced the $60 million high school football stadium that was built in the Dallas suburb of Allen.  Not a typo!  Taxpayers in Allen voted to fund the project in the midst of one of the biggest periods of education cuts our country has seen.

As we approach the dawn of another high school football season in El Paso, inevitably the chatter will be, 'why can't we compete with the rest of the state?'  We might have a punchers chance when we start green-lighting $60 million dollar stadiums.

This lady provided a nice video tour of the new facility, which was completed in July.  She voted against the project but is planning on buying season tickets.

As impressive as this place may be, there is no better venue in the country than El Paso High's Jones Stadium.
