El Paso has been blessed in recent years by professional athletes taking a tour through the Sun City, hosting different camps and events across the city. NFL players Aaron and Alvin Jones hold their annual football skills camp each summer, while Toronto Raptors guard Danny Green has made stops in El Paso on several occasions for his youth basketball camp.

This summer, a new pro athlete will be making a trip out to the Borderland, with the announcement of Lakers small forward Brandon Ingram bringing a skills camp to El Paso on Saturday, July 27th.

The event, held by The White List, will take place at Del Valle High School, 950 Bordeaux Drive, and will go from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The ages for the camp range from 5-year-olds to seniors in high school and the cost for attendees is $100. The camp will also be open to the public with tickets starting at $30 for any fans that want to attend.

Ingram, the former No. 2 pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, averaged 18.3 points per game with the Lakers this past season. He has been an integral piece in the rebuilding process for Los Angeles through the last three seasons and continues to be rumored in trade talks around the team.
