The countdown is on until Halloween! However, Halloween has already begun for some people in my neighborhood because some of my neighbors have already started decorating their homes already and honestly, I’m not mad about it.

Halloween is a fun time for kids because not only do they get to dress up in their favorite costume, they also get to collect as much candy as they can not only on Halloween night, but throughout the month of October with all the kid friendly events that are happening around town.

One of those events is Trunk-or-Treat events! Kids are able to walk around in parking lot areas and trick-or-treat for candy from the bed of peoples trucks or cars.

Here is a list of Trunk-or-Treat events happening across El Paso that you and your family can enjoy this year:

 

Horizon City Trunk-or-Treat 2022 Event:

Families are invited to this free event happening Friday, October 28th in Horizon City. The first 50 kids who show up will receive an awesome goodie bag!

There will be other freebies for those who join as well as a car show and vendors for families to enjoy! Kids can also meet “Sparky” from Horizon City Fire Department.

Autism Society of El Paso’s Sensory Spooktacular Trunk-or-Treat Event:

District 3 Representative, Cassandra Hernandez, and Justice of the Peace Judge John Herrera are partnering with the Autism Society of El Paso to bring a sensory-friendly Halloween event for those with sensory sensitivity and different abilities in mind.

Families can enjoy candy and decorations in a welcoming and safe environment.

  • Time: 12 pm - 3 pm

Support local food trucks by joining this 2nd annual event that will feature over 15 local food trucks for families to enjoy.

Families will also be able to enjoy an outdoor movie night which will begin at 8 pm. There will also be a best/spookiest decorated food truck contest.
