El Paso Fans Will Miss Out On Whitesnake As They Drop Out Of Tour

Whitesnake fans in El Paso are out of luck as the band drops out of their 2022 tour with Scorpions.

Whitesnake has canceled their farewell tour across North America and Canada due to singer Dave Coverdale's ongoing health issues. In a statement released by Coverdale, the singer shared with fans by saying:

It is with profound disappointment and a heavy heart that I must announce that Whitesnake will no longer be able to join The Scorpions on their US and Canadian tour due to my continued treatment for a persistent upper respiratory infection that affects my ability to perform. This includes the cancellation of our headlining shows as well.

While Whitesnake will no longer be on the tour, the Scorpions will be continuing on. We Wish Our Good Friends, The Scorpions Every Success!!!

Whitesnake was supposed to join The Scorpions during the "Rock Believer World" co-heading tour at the Don Haskins Center this fall.

As a fan of the iconic 80s band, I wish Coverdale a speedy recovery and am super bummed at the same time to hear the news that they will no longer be joining the Scorpions on stage at the Don.

The last time I saw Whitesnake was circa 1990, during their Liquor & Poker World Tour in support of their Slip of The Tongue album, which featured guitar virtuoso Steve Vai, who had replaced Adrian Vandenberg after an injury that required surgery.

To this day, that concert is on my top 10 list of most epic shows ever! Getting to check off David Coverdale and Steve Via together on stage from my concert bucket list was a music lover's dream come true.

Unfortunately, this was going to be Whitesnake's farewell tour, and there is no word if the band plans to reschedule these tour dates for next year.

But as they say, the show must go on, and the Scorpions will continue on tour featuring Swedish band Thundermother as openers.

As of writing this, there is no word on whether or not a refund is available for fans who wish to opt out of the show since Whitesnake has canceled, but we will keep you posted when more information becomes available.
