El Paso County Pools Now Helping You Beat the Summer Heat Daily

Summer is here and Mother Nature has wasted no time heating things up.

But there’s no need to sweat the relentless heat -- even if you don’t live near one of the new city water parks or even inside El Paso city limits -- because El Paso County Parks and Recreation just dropped some good news; all county-run pools are now open daily through Labor Day, September 6.

El Paso County Parks & Recreation operates 3 pools that are open to the public for water fun in the hot El Paso sun. Ascarate Pool, located inside Ascarate Park, and pools in Fabens and Canutillo.

Ascarate Park Aquatic Center

The Ascarate aquatic center houses an Olympic size outdoor pool as well as a small pool for children. Adding to the fun factor are slides for kids and adults, and an enclosed picnic area with shaded BBQ grills.

Open Swim is broken up into two sessions; 12pm - 2pm and 3pm-5pm.

Adults: $3
Youth (17 and under): $2
Seniors: $2

According to the El Paso County Parks website, there will be a park entrance fee at Ascarate Park of $2 per car on Saturday and Sunday. These fees apply to all vehicles entering the park, regardless of intended park use.

Fabens, Canutillo County Pools

Veterans Park Pool in Fabens and Canutillo Pool in Gallegos Park both feature a water slide, diving board, and a shaded pool deck. Like Ascarate, Open Swim is broken up into two sessions; 12pm - 2pm and 3pm-5pm.

Adults: $2
Youth (17 and under): $1
Seniors: $1

Covid Guidelines

The governor says no masks, so face masks are recommended but optional. Social distancing is also encouraged.
