Jonathan Nava Galvan witnessed the accident on Transmountain Road near N. Desert Blvd. in NW El Paso, capturing a video of the tragic incident and sharing on Facebook. Later Bruce Edmunds reposted the video to Twitter which captures the conversation between the driver and passenger speaking in Spanish and noticing that something is wrong with the cement truck swerving down the highway with smoke coming out of a back tire.

The unreal incident happens so fast; it takes less than 3 seconds for the cement truck to run the red light, collide, and shred through the semitrailer, splitting and demolishing it in half and immediately exploding on impact, scattering beer cans across the road.

The incredible footage certainly has us wondering what exactly happened - did the cement truck lose its breaks. Did the driver have a heart attack? Was the driver distracted or falling asleep? Whatever happened, it's evident that the driver was having issues stopping those last few seconds before the horrific impact.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by the Special Traffic Investigations Unit.
