The City of El Paso is temporarily closing numerous facilities in an abundance of precaution and in an effort to slow the spread of Covid-19.

Officials released the following statement Wednesday, March 18:

In an effort to limit the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and for the well-being of the public and City of El Paso employees, the City will close all recreation centers, aquatic facilities, libraries, museums and the El Paso Zoo until further notice.

El Paso Animal Services

Also affected by the temporary closures is El Paso Animal Services. Animal Services will only provide certain services on a limited or emergency basis. You can find the details HERE.

El Paso Zoo

The El Paso Zoo has taken the added measures of suspending several of its popular spring events. Eggstravaganza, which was scheduled to take place Easter weekend, and Party for the Planet have been suspended. Brew at the Zoo, set to take place April 18, has been postponed.
