Desperate for a win, Coronado put on an epic offensive show by routing Socorro 47-0 at Quarles-Brooks Stadium on Friday night.  The win snapped the T-Bird's six game losing streak, and got them back on track after struggling so often the past several weeks.  On what was an extremely windy evening in far west El Paso, Coronado scored on virtually every offensive possession in the first half.

The T-Birds took a 41-0 lead into the locker room at halftime and even rested starting QB Angelo Donatelli in the second half.   Coronado put star running back Jonathan Millan in at quarterback in the second half, who did a good job of managing the game.  Millan played quarterback his freshman season.

T-Bird's Quarterback Angelo Donatelli rebounded from the previous week's performance with a stellar game going 6-of-9 for 120 yards and four touchdowns.  Jonathan Millan rushed for 80 yards on 14 carries, and scored 2 TDs.  Wide receiver Daniel Ayala added three catches for 80 yards and scored a touchdown as well.

With the victory Coronado moves to 2-6, 1-3 (1-6A) and will face Franklin at the Sun Bowl on Thursday night in the annual "Battle of the Westside."  With the loss Socorro falls to 3-5, 0-4 (1-6A) and will host El Dorado next Friday night.
