On a picturesque evening, the UTEP Miners beat their oldest rival, 41-28 in front of 33,000 fans.  UTEP was desperate for the win because their last 2 losses against Ole Miss and Oklahoma were winnable games, and next week they travel to Wisconsin.

UTEP Gets a Crucial Win Against East Carolina

Traditionally the UTEP Miners can't buy a win in the month of November.  They defeated East Carolina for the first time ever on Saturday night 22-17.  The win couldn't of come at a better time as the Miners ended a 2 game losing streak.

Southern Miss Wears Down UTEP in 31-13 Victory

It was an ideal night for football at the Sun Bowl.  The air was brisk but not unbearable, the wind was almost non existent, and there was hardly a cloud in the sky.

UTEP Defeats Former WAC Rival Colorado State on Homecoming

UTEP and Colorado State squared off at the Sun Bowl on Saturday night for homecoming.  The Miners prevailed 31-17 to win their 2nd consecutive game, and go above .500 with a record of 4-3 on the season

Houston Knocks Off UTEP in an Offensive Thriller

When Houston and UTEP meet every year you never know what to expect.  This trend continued as the 2 teams met for a rare Thursday night game at the Sun Bowl.  Houston won the game 49-42 in front of a rather thin crowd of 24,111.  It's a shame that more people didn't show up becasue they missed remarkable offensive performances by both squads as they combined for 1,248 total yards.
