Two of the NBA's marquee teams, the Spurs and Heat are set to meet later tonight on TNT.  Both teams feature plenty of star power, however, the Spurs' star power will be m.i.a.

Earlier today, Spurs' coach Greg Popovich decided to send Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker, and Danny Green back to San Antonio.

His rationale is simple:  The Spurs are a veteran team and have played more game in November than any other NBA team.

Popovich has done this before, but a lot of people are questioning the timing of the decision.  Certainly the NBA and TNT aren't pleased, but Gregg Popovich has never been in the business of appeasing the league and its television partners.

The NBA has no plans to intervene, but should they try and set a precedent?
