Welcome to the offical KROD Sportstalk home page.  This page will have everything you need to keep up with your local and national sports.  If you’ve ever wondered how we come up with all of our show topics, here’s a list of websites we use every day. I don’t want to give away too many secrets, but I know you’ll find some of these very handy.

Sportstalk is El Paso’s longest running daily sports talk show. It began in June 1991 when Jeff Limberg took over the KROD airwaves to host a daily afternoon-drive local radio sports talk show. Since then, Bob Fields, Jon Teicher, and Steve Kaplowitz have enjoyed time as hosts of the program. Other past Sportstalk co-hosts and producers include: David Collins, Duke Keith, Mando Medina, Robert Garcia, Jeff Flynt, and Quinton Martinez. Kaplowitz is now in his 14th year as host of Sportstalk and is joined by Andy Lee, who took over the show’s producer duties in May 2008.

Long Live the Red Bull Flugtag Commercial

In 1991, Red Bull owner Dietrich Mateschitz had a brilliant idea.  He created an event in which people made homemade 'flying machines' and attempted to fly them off a pier.  Thus, the Red Bull Flugtag (German for airshow) was born

Josh Beckett Reminds Me Why Hiring Golf Nuts is a Bad Idea

Veteran pitcher Josh Beckett ruffled some feathers in Boston when he recently played golf on his off day.  Beckett was scheduled to start the night before, but was a late scratch with a sore lat.  This may not have been a major issue in the Boston media if Beckett wasn't the perceived ring leader of a pitching staff that played video games, drank beer, and ate fried chicken while the Red Sox burned last September

Texas Rangers Rookie Wears Wrong Jersey [VIDEO]

I know that some big league pitchers in the bullpen are a little disconnected from the rest of the game, but Texas Rangers rookie Robbie Ross took it to another level.
