Brett Favre’s Inauspicious Television Debut
For years everyone speculated Brett Favre would make the seamless transition from the field to the broadcast booth. People also assumed he would be a natural because he was long winded in his post game press conferences. Sure he was long winded, but he was also boring and monotone.
Favre made his television debut for Comcast Sport South last Saturday when his alma mater Southern Miss. hosted Rice. Other than some nerves and shaky grammar his performance wasn’t a train wreck.
The thing Favre has going for him is that he is folksy and relatable. With some reps and a little more excitement in his voice he may become a poor man’s Don Meredith yet.
