Tomorrow night at 6pm, New Mexico State will host UTEP in the 93rd Battle of I-10. The two schools first met on the football field in 1914, and the Miners have won 55 of the 92 games, including six straight victories over the Aggies. However, both teams are 0-2 after two weeks and this rivalry game could be a strong indicator of which direction these teams will head as they both prepare for conference play.

Earlier this week, NMSU head coach Doug Martin joined Sportstalk to preview the big matchup. He told 600 ESPN El Paso to expect some fireworks when both teams clash on the field.

Mario Moccia is preparing to experience his first Battle of I-10 clash as Athletic Director of NMSU. Moccia told 600 ESPN El Paso that he is hoping to build on the 27,000 fans in attendance for their home opener against Georgia State last week.
