Tons of people in El Paso were stoked about the first UTEP Miners football game. The first game of the year for UTEP Miners football certainly amps up those party vibes for people who love to tailgate.

I remember many years back when my uncles would tailgate for UTEP Miners football games. Plus, my uncles Mike, Gabe, and late uncle Bruno always threw the best parties before and after UTEP football games.

One thing I remember and how it has changed over the years is how they always made sure to bring a box of Glad trash bags. My uncles were big on keeping their trash together where it belonged, in trash bags.

But this time around there are some people who have no problem messing with Texas. After the first UTEP Miners football game of the year, the aftermath had some people upset.

There were some photos shared on the 915 on Blast Facebook group that would bother any El Pasoan. No one is necessarily blaming only UTEP Miners fans because we know the opponent's supporters also tailgate as well.

Sure there are people who are paid to pick up the trash after the tailgates, but why not make it easier for them? It isn't that hard to carry a box of trash bags to throw the trash into and just leave it in one place by the trash bins.

El Paso still has quite a bit of home games left which means more tailgates and probably more trash left to pick up. Hopefully, people who tailgate after reading this will plan to not leave the parking lot trashed and carry some trash bags at future home games.
