Efe Odigie had his season-best 15 points (6-of-12 FG) off the bench and 10 boards, along with another exceptional performance by Bryson Williams, who had 28 points and 10 rebounds in UTEP's 67-66 slim win against Middle Tennesee.
UTEP needed Katia Gallegos just like she needed UTEP. It was a perfect match for a team that desperately needed a true point guard for the past two seasons. For Gallegos, the opportunity was, and continues to be, a dream come true.
UTEP has lost six of their last eight games and they will play host to the Roadrunners (8-9, 2-2 C-USA) on Wednesday night, who have won eight of their last 12 games after losing five straight games to start the season.
