Football Friday Nights- Applebee’s Top Ten
After eleven weeks the high school football season is over and we can look ahead to the playoffs. All our 5-A schools are out of town while we will have four 4-A games here on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Franklin
9-1 (8-0)With a 31-14 win over Coronado in the Westside Bowl, the Cougars finish the district season undefeated. Franklin takes on Lubbock Monterey in the bi-district round of the playoffs.

Montwood
8-2 (7-1)The Rams finished the season with a 50-11 rout over Socorro. Montwood takes on Amarillo Tascosa in the first round of the playoffs.

Chapin
8-2 (7-0)The Huskies got a well deserved bye going into the playoffs. Chapin will take on Canutillo Thursday night at Irvin.

Del Valle
9-1 (6-0)Del Valle finished their undefeated district season with a 41-27 win over Parkland. The Conquistadores will host Andress on Friday.

Americas
8-2 (6-2)The Trailblazers finished the season strong with a 27-7 win over El Dorado. Amercias will take on Amarillo High Friday in Midland.

Andress
7-3 (5-2)The Eagles were off the final week of the season. The will take on Del Valle at Conquest Stadium on Friday.

El Paso High
7-3 (5-2)The Tigers burst back into the top ten with a gutty 27-24 double o.t. victory over Burges. El Paso will host Riverside on Saturday afternoon.

Horizon
6-4 (4-2)Horizon clinched a playoff berth with a 30-15 win over Ysleta. The Scorpions will host Burges on Friday evening.

Burges
8-2 (5-2)Burges fell a few spots after Friday's double overtime loss to El Paso. The Mustangs will try and get back on the proverbial horse as they travel to Horizon on Friday.

El Dorado
7-3 (5-3)Things quickly went from bad to worse for the Aztecs. First they lost the season finale 27-7 to Americas. On Monday we found out the had to forfeit two district games because of an ineligible player. If the forfeits aren't overturned Coronado will take their place in the playoffs.
