It’s getting warmer by the day, and the unofficial start of summer is weeks away. For many, that means a trip to a water park is imminent.

There is no need to sweat the relentless El Paso heat when you have Wet ‘N Wild and four new city-built, city-run water parks scattered throughout town. Here’s when you can expect to have fun in the hot El Paso sun.

Get the grill, cooler, and floaties out of storage. Wet ‘N Wild opens for the season Saturday May 7, 2022.

The 60-acre homegrown water park just outside El Paso in Anthony has more than 25 rides and attractions.

Crowd favorites including the largest wave pool in Texas, the six-story high 4-person raft ride Jaguar Falls, and the more intense The Condor’s Secret, which will have you sliding down 3-stories at not-for-the-faint-of-heart speeds before swooping you up a near vertical wall.

Kid-friendly water attractions, VIP suites and cabanas, grills, and plenty of shade trees make Wet ‘N Wild a fun all-day family outing.

Wet N’ Wild will be open weekends only beginning May 7, and then every day May 27 through the end of July before reverting back to weekends only through Labor Day.

The city opened four themed “regional” water parks last summer.

Camp Cohen, is on the Northeast in the former Cohen Stadium site. The far east has Oasis inside the "The Beast" Regional Park near the intersection of Montana and Hueco Club Road. Chapoteo is just down the street from Lionel Forti Park at 1225 Giles, and Lost Kingdom sits in the Bassett Place area at 6001 Hughey.

While they all have the same basic water features, such as water slides, climbing walls, lazy river current channels, and kiddie playgrounds, each has its own unique theme and signature feature.

Oasis, for instance, features El Paso's only surfing machine. Private cabanas are available for rental, and food is sold on site. Outside food isn’t allowed.

All four El Paso Water Parks will open daily starting Memorial Day weekend through the summer.
