El Paso Animal Services To Debut New Podcast: EPAS Unleashed, A Pawcast
Animal lovers listen up! There’s a new paw-cast in town and it’s meant to educate AND entertain animal lovers.
El Paso Animal Services announced the debut of their newest project, EPAS Unleashed Podcast.
El Paso Animal Services Educational Coordinator, Jessica Navarro, has spent her time gathering story ideas and coordinating special guests for the podcast. She will be the podcasts main host.
Every month El Paso Animal Services staff will bring animal lovers to brand new episodes that will cover various topics that include pet tips, lifesaving news, shelter programs, volunteer opportunities, and more.
The first episode will focus on National Train Your Dog month which happens to be in January. Special guests will include El Paso Animal Services Animal training and enrichment coordinators that will talk about the importance of animal training and other helpful tips.
The podcast will feature various special guests that will provide insight on each topic the podcast touches on.
“We are making this for you, our community, and would love to cover topics you’d find interesting,” said EPAS officials.
People are encouraged to email any questions, topics, or ideas they have for EPAS. Emails can be sent to EPASoutreach@elpasotexas.gov.
“It’s a challenge working in an animal shelter,” said Michele Anderson, Marketing and Public Engagement Manager for EPAS. “When you’re working with animals you see some challenging stuff and it can get to you sometimes so being able to celebrate the wins is really important because it allows you to take a step back and celebrate those stories, too.”
“EPAS Unleashed” will be featured on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcast, and all episodes will be uploaded onto the shelter's website, too. The first episode will make its debut this Friday, January 20th.
