El Paso Animal Service's shelter is currently at capacity and needs the community's help to receive the donations needed for dogs and cats in their care. The Animal Services shelter is currently under emergency operations, meaning they are only taking in dogs that are injured, sick, aggressive, or pose a danger to themselves or the community. The shelter has been dealing with a large influx of dogs and cats since the pandemic and is in need of donations to help them better the lives of the animals in their care.

On March 21st, Animal Services published a post on their Facebook page asking for more treat donations for the dogs at the shelter:

"Help us provide enrichment and treats to the dogs in our care! Every donation makes a difference and together, we can continue to make a huge impact in the lives of pets in need and support the pets in our community."

You can also check out more items Animal Services need through their Amazon Dog Wishlist and their Amazon Cat Wishlist. The shelter also needs old crew socks or socks long enough to tie at the end. The shelter fills them with uncooked rice to use as heating pads for bottle baby kittens and puppies.

You can drop off any donations you have for at 5001 Fred Wilson Road. They are open 7 days a week from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can also call Animal Services at (915) 212-PAWS. Follow them on Instagram and on their Facebook page.
