Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray will be the featured keynote speaker for The Salvation Army of El Paso's inaugural Heroes for the Homeless Luncheon.

The sit down luncheon, set for 12 noon Saturday, February 28th, at the Centennial Club at Fort Bliss, will feature a motivational speech from Murray followed by a live auction of signed memorabilia.

DeMarco is coming off a breakout season filled with many personal accomplishments, including breaking the legendary Jim Brown's 1958 NFL rushing record for most consecutive 100-yard games to start the season, passing Emmitt Smith's Cowboys franchise single season rushing record, and finishing the season as the league's top rusher.

Tickets for tables of 10 range from $1,000 to $1,500. Table captains who fill a table of 10 will get to meet and take a photo with DeMarco before the luncheon starts. Individual $100 tickets are also on sale, but only a little over 100 of those remain as of this posting.

Proceeds from the luncheon will help the second oldest non-profit in El Paso continue to provide shelter, clothing and food for the homeless and those in the community facing financial hardships
