College Football Kickoff Weekend, and Texas Longhorns Football Games are on 600 ESPN El Paso
The college football season is finally upon us, and 600 ESPN El Paso will be broadcasting the #3 ranked Oklahoma Sooners verses #15 Houston from NRG Stadium on Saturday beginning at 9:30 a.m., preempting Crunchtime.
OU, a legendary program that has produced an astonishing 80 NFL draft picks since 2000, is coming off an appearance in the college football playoffs this past season, and features one of the best backfield duos in the country in QB Baker Mayfield and RB Samaje Perine. Despite losing four first-team All-Big 12 defensive players, the Sooners should contend for a National Championship this season.
The 15th ranked Houston Cougars ended 2015 with a bang by defeating Florida State in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, and certainly have the talent to make a deep run this season that may include a trip to the college football playoffs. The Cougars have Heisman candidate QB Greg Ward Jr. returning, and will look to build on their explosive offense which averaged a whopping 40.4 ppg last season. Defensively, Houston is led by LB Steven Taylor who had 10 sacks and 92 tackles last season, and six potential all-conference candidates.
600 ESPN El Paso will also continue to be your home for all Texas Longhorns football games, and other significant college football games on a weekly basis.
