Robert Garcia’s 2024 NFL First Round Mock Draft
Walter Scott once said, “Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive!”
That is what you could call the four months leading up to the NFL Draft, deception. Is J.J. McCarthy that good of a quarterback prospect or is John Harbaugh blowing smoke up our arse to leverage his team into picking up some extra draft capital? I’m going with the latter.
Vegas has the over/under set at 4.5 quarterbacks selected in the first round of this year’s draft. I’m not a betting man but in this case, I’m taking the over with five! Expect to see Williams, Daniels and Maye go one, two, three, with the Patriots deciding to take tickets sales over replenishing a depleted roster. The Vikings make the move up to five to select J.J. McCarthy and hope the projections on what he could be, come true.
I’ve got six wideouts going in the first round, with three selected in the top ten picks, along with eight offensive linemen and one tight end selected. That brings the total to 20 offensive players taken in the first round and we’ve got a record folks!
This is my mock draft…
