Chico's Tacos is open! Well, two Chico's are open. The Dyer and George Dieter locations opened up for the first time in months! One of them, happened to be in my neck of the woods so, when I heard the news, I knew exactly what I was going to get for lunch on Friday. "A double, fries and a Sprite!" I finally was able to say those words out loud and not sound crazy.

Look, closures of restaurants hasn't been a big issue for me. Curbside pick up and delivery has worked out pretty well for me, especially when it comes to picking up some amazing margaritas! When Chico's closed I wasn't that phased by it, but then the weeks went by and suddenly, it was ALL I WANTED! Since the closures, many on social media have been sharing their recipes for their homemade Chico's. I knew that I was going to have to make it myself if I wanted my Chico's fix, so I finally took the plunge and made it myself. Was it good? Definitely. Did it satisfy my craving? For sure! But was it actually Chico's? No, it wasn't.

As news spread about Chico's finally opening up, I knew that for sure, there would be a crowd, so when we pulled up and found no parking, I wasn't surprised. I decided maybe it was easier to just order by phone, but, as you can imagine, it was busy. So we decided to look around for parking and finally found one. As I waited in line, I was happy to see the usual ladies taking my order and working hard in the back. If you're heading out to Chico's this weekend, be nice to the workers! I was saddened to see some customers being rude to the workers! They're working hard and are hella busy, it's going to be a bit of a wait and you're not the only one waiting. This is just a soft opening, according to KTSM, and if it goes well, they may open up the Alameda and Montwood locations next week. So, be nice! Here's what you can expect if you are heading out to the Dyer or the George Dieter locations this weekend.
