Because summer can mean food insecurity for many families, especially those still reeling from the hardship the pandemic has caused, the Canutillo Independent School District will continue its free meal distribution through the end of June.

The district announced the curbside service it has been providing children in need will carry on as part of the Seamless Summer Option program from May 26 to June 30 at three CISD locations.

Meals will be available to any child, ages 1 to 18, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Summer distribution locations are Canutillo High School, Canutillo Elementary, and Deanna Davenport elementary. The same meal pick-up procedures currently in place, with meals picked up curbside and participants receiving breakfast and lunch, will be used. Bus delivery is not available over the summer.
