600 ESPN El Paso to Broadcast the Senior All-Star Football Game

600 ESPN El Paso will broadcast the 26th annual Greater El Paso Football Showcase All-Star game this Saturday with Paul MacKinnon and the Iceman Brandon Cohn beginning at 12:30 pm.  The game will have a different twist to it this year as both teams were selected via NFL draft style as opposed to the traditional East versus West El Paso teams.  In total, 92 players were drafted from schools all across the city, and for the first time ever, fellow teammates will play against each other.

This concept came about following several lopsided All-Star games that occurred in the past; as an example, last year's score was 58-2 in favor of the East.  Not to mention that with the addition of Pebble Hills, five of the area's eight Class 6A schools are on El Paso's East side, therefore, the idea for a draft should be a winning concept.

The teams that are participating in this year's All-Star game are the Blue Thunder and Red Storm, and will be coached by Coronado legend Don Brooks, as well as Phil Hatch, who's been affiliated with the game for the past 23 years.  Here are the rosters of the teams for Saturday's game.
