5 El Paso Restaurants That Are Always Worth The Wait According To Locals
If there is one thing I love about Texas, it's the FOOD -- and there are lot's of great places to eat in El Paso. I love it and sometimes there is food that is well worth the wait and then… sometimes a girl CAN NOT wait to eat and she WILL NOT wait! Me. I’m the girl.
However, when it comes to standing or sitting in line for certain local restaurants there are a few that I don’t mind waiting for.
On top of my list would be The Tap. I know I know. It’s more of a bar/restaurant but this is my article so I can consider The Tap whatever I want to consider it.
I was curious to see what other local restaurants El Pasoans wouldn’t mind waiting an hour or more to be seated at and I will admit, a few of the answers didn’t surprise me, but then some restaurants did surprise me because they weren't local restaurants.
It seems as if the people of El Paso really love their chain food restaurants and they don’t mind waiting an hour to eat there.
Here’s a look at the top 5 El Paso restaurants that are always worth the wait… according to El Pasoans:
5: Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen: 11895 Gateway Blvd. W
At number 5 is the franchise restaurant, Cheddars.
Personally, I love Cheddars for their spinach artichoke dip and most importantly for their Texas-sized margaritas that don’t break the bank!
The food is also pretty great for it being a chain restaurant but I don’t see myself waiting for longer than 30 minutes. Unless I can wait at the bar, Then that’s a whole different story!
4: West Texas Chophouse: 1135 Airway Blvd.
At number 4 is the West Texas Chophouse.
I took my son on a date here recently and he is a picky eater when it comes to steak and he gave West Texas Chophouse two thumbs up.
Not only were their steaks JUICY but their loaded baked potatoes were delicious too.
I wouldn’t mind waiting to be seated here… but I dunno about an hour!
3: Cattleman's Steakhouse at Indian Cliffs Ranch: 3450 South Fabens, Carlsbad Rd Fabens, TX
Alright, ya’ll. This one surprised me because I thought Cattleman's Steakhouse at Indian Cliffs Ranch would be number one on the list!!
In my honest opinion, Cattleman’s Steakhouse is the only restaurant I would wait an hour for because first of all... It’s too far from any other restaurant so even if I didn’t want to wait, I’d be forced to!
Second, Their steak is just juicy and it’s the first steak I ever had at a restaurant that I didn’t need to have A-1 sauce on the side to dip my meat in.
2: Track One: 1330 Buffalo Soldier Rd, El Paso, TX 79925
Taking the number two spot is Track One.
I have waited to be seated at Track One and I'm glad I did because their wings are just wings I can't get anywhere else, in my opinion.
Aside from the great food, just eating inside of an old train makes the experience that much better.
1: Texas Roadhouse
Ok, now this one surprised me.
At number one is the American Steakhouse chain, Texas Roadhouse.
While I do enjoy their warm bread and cinnamon butter, I’m not sure if I would wait an hour to eat here but apparently, El Pasoans love their Texas Roadhouse and for that reason, it made it to the top of the list of restaurants they would wait up to an hour for.
