Major league pitchers fire 90-mile-per-hour fastballs to home plate from 60 feet, six inches with routine precision, so you'd think they could handle a simple toss to first base.

You'd think wrong.

New York Yankees pitcher Shane Greene had a dreadful evening in the field against the Texas Rangers on Monday night, notching not one, not two, but three errors, two of which came on easy throws to first base.

Amazingly, the Rangers failed to score in either of the innings Greene put on what looked like an audition for a starring role in an instructional video for how not to play defense.

Greene's miscues were part of a five-error night for the Yankees, who lost to the Rangers, 4-2.
