UTEP Women’s Basketball Team Ranked 25th in Latest Coaches Poll

For the first time in eight years, a UTEP basketball team is back in the Top 25. The latest USA Today Coaches Poll was just released and the Miners (25-2, 16-1) received 38 votes and are ranked 25th. The team had been ranked 27th last week, but moved up in the poll after wins over Old Dominion and Charlotte. The Miners have also clinched the regular season CUSA title and are the top overall seed in next week's conference tournament in Birmingham. The NCAA official website named UTEP their team of the week.

UTEP will wrap up their regular season Thursday night in San Antonio against UTSA. 600 ESPN El Paso will broadcast the game beginning at 6pm and I will be courtside calling the action along with Miner legend Nevil "The Shadow" Shed.
