Saturday marks the first time fans can get a look at the UTEP men's basketball team. The 6th Annual Orange and White Scrimmage also features a three-point shootout and slam dunk contest. Admission is free and the fun is expected to start at 3pm. The scrimmage will follow the three-point shootout and dunk contest.

Sophomore guard Trey Touchet will defend his three-point title. Last year, Touchet put on an outside shooting clinic when he drilled all 15 of his attempts in the first round, and 13-of-15 in the final. In doing so, he edged out teammate Jake Flaggert 13-12. Flaggert will also return along with senior guard Dominic Artis, junior guard Omega Harris and freshmen guards Deon Barrett and Hudson Urbanus.

The dunk contest will have a new winner in 2016 as Harris has opted not to pursue a third consecutive title. His decision is a curious one, since he could have been the first player in UTEP history to win the dunk championship three straight years. In his absence, Artis, sophomore forwards Paul Thomas and Terry Winn, sophomore guard Isiah Osborne and freshman guard Adrian Moore will also compete for the Slam Dunk Contest title.
