The 2013 UTEP football schedule features five nationally televised games, but some El Pasoans will have trouble viewing two of them. The Miners play at Rice on October 26th and at North Texas on November 9th. Both games will be carried on Comcast Sports South, which is not available to cable or satellite subscribers in the El Paso area. KVIA-TV general manager Kevin Luvell has already started exploring options to simulcast the two road games on the CW channel, which is also operated by his television station. If Conference USA approves the request, there is an excellent chance that these two road games would be picked up by the CW and seen in both El Paso and Las Cruces.

The Miners will also play at Texas A&M on November 2nd, and there is an excellent chance that game will be televised regionally by ESPN. UTEP’s last two games of the regular season are both road games against Tulane and Middle Tennessee State. If the Miners are in postseason contention, there is always a chance that those contests could be televised back to El Paso.
