Tulane Fires Head Football Coach Bob Toledo

The Bob Toledo experiment at Tulane is over. Sportsnola.com first reported Toledo’s firing just days after UTEP pummeled the Green Wave 44-7 this past weekend in New Orleans.
Toledo, who once led the UCLA Bruins to a pair of Pac-10 championships in seven seasons, could not display the same magic with Tulane. He took over the program during the turbulent Post-Hurricane Katrina era and was not able to bring it back to prominence. Toledo won no more than four games during each of his previous four seasons at Tulane, and this year’s team was not showing signs of life.
