The UTEP Miners men's basketball team has won seven straight games and they face their biggest test of conference play Thursday night at Louisiana Tech. A win puts UTEP in sole possession of first place and the team would have the inside track to the number one overall seed.

Floyd Reaches 400, Miners Satisfied as UTEP Routs UTSA

Vince Hunter scored eight of his 15 points during a 23-6 run late in the first half, propelling UTEP to an 81-62 rout of UTSA on Saturday afternoon at the Don Haskins Center.
