The Miners fought back on a 23-6 run from the end of the first and beginning of the second half to give the Miners an 85-75 victory over Florida International on Saturday evening at the Don Haskins Center.
Four of the final six games for the Miners will take place away from El Paso, and it starts tonight with the first game against Marshall (12-9, 5-3 C-USA), who are undergoing a three-game losing streak.
There are only six more games until UTEP wraps up their conference schedule and gets paired up within a group based on their pairings for the final four games of the season, which is reflected by the new Conference USA scheduling format.
Going through a quick turnaround from losing to Old Dominion (50-48), who is the current No. 1 team in C-USA, the Miners will regroup and have their eyes set on Charlotte for Saturday's contest in the Don Haskins Center.
