Football season has heated up across El Paso, as teams are now in the midst of district action.

In a rivalry game that was closer than anyone could have imagined, Franklin defeated Coronado 28-14 in the annual Westside Bowl on Thursday night.  The Cougars began the contest in a rather inauspicious manner as Coronado's Davis Burns picked off quarterback Danny Walther on their first possession...

Our Thursday Night High School Football Showcase will continue with the Westside Bowl, as Franklin faces Coronado in a 1-6A matchup. The game kicks off at 6 p.m.

It's the most exciting part of the season for high school football, as district play finally kicks off at the midway point of the season.

For our Thursday Night Football featured game, we will see two of El Paso's best football programs clash, as the Americas Trailblazers (4-1) get set to host Franklin (5-0) in the 1-6A district opener.

Time to take a break at the midway point of the high school season in El Paso. Most teams have week six off with the exception of a handful of games.
