Artur Laukaitis and Chaseton Sare each scored twice as the El Paso Rhinos beat the Springfield Express, 7-2, Friday night, jumping over the Express for second place in the Mid-West Division of the WSHL.

Evan Camba got the opening goal just 15 seconds into the game, tipping Brody Surette's pass from the point by Springfield goalie Bailey Stephens.

Express defenseman Kyrylo Zhovnir equalized for the visitors at 19:55 of the first and Tyson Klingspohn gave them the lead at 2:57 of the second, but El Paso rattled off six unanswered goals to run away with the win.

The Rhinos outshot Springfield, 41-24, as El Paso netminder Tymen Edelkoort III stopped 22 on the night.

Camba and Surette each finished with three assists, while the Rhinos also got goals from Alex Johansson and Riley Hummitsch.

El Paso improves to 36-9-2, and its 74 points puts them one point behind first place and defending Mid-West Division champ Oklahoma City and one point ahead of Springfield.

Both the Express and Oklahoma City Blazers finish their regular seasons this weekend, though, while the Rhinos will travel to Wichita for three games against the Junior Thunder next weekend.
